Once he started “listening” to music, as opposed to just hearing it, Marcus was drawn into Tom Morello’s unique sound. His older brother is who he pays tribute to his passion for drums. His brother played guitar in a band at their house and in between practices the drummer would leave his kit in the garage and Paul immediately picked it up. The rest was history. He was originally drawn to the bass guitar, because he always found himself grooving to bass lines. “Guitar solos are nice but what makes me move is a solid bass groove.” Matthew's interest in Rage Against the Machine began back during the time of his childhood. “Growing up jamming them; it wasn't until I was older did I understand the significance of their lyrics. The self-proclaimed militant poet, Zach De La Rocha, chose to address many injustices that sadly still plague our world today; unbridled capitalism, the police state, broken two party political system, CIA involvement in military coos, mass media influence on our culture, government cover ups and more.
